John F. Sipp,

John Sipp, the founder of John F. Sipp & Associates, has been in the insurance business since 1960. Following his graduation from UNC in Chapel Hill with a BS in Science Teaching, John spent a number of years teaching in North Carolina and New York before moving into insurance once and for all. In a long and distinguished career, John has received many accolades.
He led John F. Sipp & Associates to the Durham Chamber of Commerce’s Micro Business of the Year Award in 2001, and in 2003 the Triangle Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors cited that his “outstanding contributions to insurance and financial affairs have brought credit to his community and his profession”.
He is a Lifetime Member of the Leaders Roundtable of the National Association of Health Underwriters, received a Certificate of Appreciation in 2003 from the Kiwanis Club, and has been recognized by North Carolina Central University for his contributions to their School of Business.
Prior to starting John F. Sipp & Associates, he was ranked in Prudential’s top 100 insurance agents (out of 15,000), and led an initiative to revamp Minnesota Mutual’s training program for new agents.
John has also taught classes in the American College’s CLU, ChFC, RHU, and LUTCF programs.

Jennifer McLaurin

A native of Chatham County, North Carolina, Jennifer brought day care experience with her to John F. Sipp & Associates. Her initial responsibilities were administrative, but her initiative soon had her digging into the insurance side, spending one day a week with different insurance carriers to learn the business. Within a year she was handling group insurance.
In 2005, she received the prestigious Golden Eagle from the National Association of Health Underwriters, and in 2003 was recognized by the Sales and Marketing Executives of Durham.

Kimberley Harmon, RHU |
Kim Harmon is the company’s newest member, bringing creative forward thinking and organization to our ranks, plus a little laughter and fun. Her background as a customer service representative and office manager for C & O Warehousing provided sound footing for her role at John F. Sipp & Associates. She also has experience as a buyer and systems analyst for Tecstar Aerospace.
It wasn’t long before Kim’s keen organizational, financial, and general business skills whipped the office into shape. Soon after that, she was deservedly promoted to Vice President – CFO and COO.
Since her arrival, Kim has earned her RHU (Registered Health Underwriter) degree. She is currently pursuing a business degree at Durham Tech, and a Certificate in General Management from the American Management Association.
